Birralee Summer
School 2021
Birralee International School Trondheim offers Summer School for its students in Year 1 to 4 in week 31 and 32.
This is a great offer for students who want to learn something new or do something they already like to do.

All activities are presented on this page, please read the entire programme before choosing.

All activities are free of charge. (Thanks to additional support from Trondheim Kommune)

Both students enrolled in ASP and students who are not enrolled in ASP can sign up.

It is a good idea to choose several options, in case you do not get your first wish fulfilled.

Everyone who attends Birralee Summer School 2021 must be healthy and have no symptoms of respiratory infection.

Do you like to make things? Have people told you that you are creative? At the Art Workshop you will be allowed to unleash your creativity!
This course will also suit students who would like to learn more about different techniques and different ways to make art.

Do you want to use some of your holiday to dance? You can sign up if you have danced before or if you are a beginner. We will be doing lots of dancing and maybe learn something new in this three day workshop!

Are you a born actor? Do you dream of Hollywood or the big stage? In theater, the relationship between your body, your voice and your imagination is very important. In this five-day course you will get to try out miming, improvisation, character-based theater and loads of interaction! We will play a lot every day and in the end we will have a little performance for our fellow classmates.

Do you dream of a career in football as Rosenborg's or Manchester City's star player? We will be learning and practising new skills on the football pitch. We will also play some games against each other and their might even be a trophy to take home at the end of the final session.

We have managed to book Rasmus og Verdens Minste Band to our Street Festival. Norway's most popular children's band will perform all their classics and some of their new work, including their new song SFO in Trondheim!
Tuesday August 10

Inspired by the real Olympics in Tokyo, we will be hosting our own Birralympics, including an official Opening and Closing Ceremony. We will be practising the long jump, shot put and more. We might even break some school records and win a trophy!
Wednesday August 11

We will visit the Norwegian Crown Jewels Exhibition, where - after being inspired by crowns worn by real kings and queens - the students will be making their own sparkly crowns.

Ready, steady, bake! We will be making some delicious cookies in the school kitchen. We might even make enough to take some home.
Thursday August 12

Year 3 - Year 4
We will visit Sverresborg Museum where we will join King Sverre's Kingdom and learn about Sverre, Birkebeinerne and Baglerne. Who was King Sverre? And why was he so smart as king? You can try to shoot with a bow and arrow and we practice becoming good Birkebeinenere soldiers. Everyone gets to borrow a robe, sword and a shield.

Do you like being out in nature? Join us to the beach! We will play games, explore the shoreline and put names on what we find.
