For the second year in a row, Birralee students won the prestigious National Final of the UngeAbel Maths Competition!
This competition, unofficially known as the National Norwegian Championships in Maths for Year 9 classes, is held every year and is organised by Lamis, in cooperation with Matematikksenteret and Forskningsrådet (The Norwegian Research Council).
Earlier this term, Year 9 had - together with 15 other Year 9 classes - qualified for the semi-final. Yesterday, they were the first team to reach the final. Today, they won the final!
Congratulations Year 9, we are extremely proud of you!
Year 9 will now go to the Nordic Final in Copenhagen in June where they will meet the winning teams from Denmark, Sweden and Finland.
In September, our current Year 10 already managed to win the Nordic Final.
