Year 10 are currently enjoying their Social Studies Trip to Krakow, Poland.
Yesterday, they visited the Wieliczka Salt Mines, and underground UNESCO treasure near Krakow. The mines are one of the world’s oldest salt mines, which operated ceaselessly for over 700 years. The mines are beautifully lit up tunnels leading the way to awe-inspiring chapels and saline lakes combining into a nearly 300-km-long labyrinth of remarkable subterranean scenery.
Group Picture Year 10, taken 90 metres underground.
The staircase down to the mine. Not for the faint-hearted.
