Ski Day 2025

Like many schools in Norway, we organise cross country ski days as a way to promote physical activity, foster a love for nature, and teach essential skiing skills among our students. This tradition is rooted in Norway’s rich history of winter sports and the significance of cross country skiing in Norwegian culture.

By exposing our international students to this sport, we aim to instill an appreciation for the outdoors and encourage lifelong healthy habits. We are fortunate to be able to offer ski days that take place in beautiful natural settings, allowing students to experience the stunning Norwegian landscapes while engaging in physical exercise.

This year, the students were obviously inspired by the World Championships in Cross Country Skiing and Ski Jumping that took place in Trondheim earlier this month. The lack of snow this winter was particularly felt during the IMYC/IGCSE Ski Day, but the students had a great time nonetheless!
