Our students in Years 6 to 10 had the incredible opportunity to attend the skiing world championships in Granåsen today.
Team Pølsa
In the morning, they supported the children from Team Pølsa in their thrilling race. Team Pølsa is a Norwegian TV show that portrays six young people Syver, Peder, Sunniva, Mikkel, Pia and Trygve, who have various disabilities.
The team is led by former cross-country runner Øystein "Pølsa" Pettersen, and the objective was to complete the sprint course where Johannes Høsflot Klæbo won gold yesterday.
Like all other children on the stands, our students had watched the show on TV this week and gave their peers heartwarming encouragement as they passed the finish line. A truly inspiritational experience for everybody who was there.
Ski Jumping
In the afternoon, we moved over to the Ski Jumping Arena to watch the athletes fly by.
Shout out to the Walking Bus
An extra shout out to the students and staff who joined the walking bus to Granasen this morning. They walked over 8 kilometres without a single complaint. Well done! We are impressed!
