Food technology is an important subject in schools as it not only helps students gain a better understanding of nutrition and cooking, but also allows them to develop important skills in communication and team work in a real-life setting.
Yesterday, the students put theory into practice during their Food Technology lesson in the School Kitchen.
Team work makes the dream work!
The students made a hummus accompanied with sliced carrots and cucumber.
They also made a honey garlic salmon. Salmon is not only a good source of protein, it also is rich in vitamin B12 and vitamin D.
On the side, they made a caesar salad with kale and homemade dressing and homemade croutons. They used kale instead of salad as kale is rich in fibre and contains various vitamins.
